Project Support Manager / PMO Manager

 

PRIMIS Mortgage Network are the largest Mortgage Network in the UK and form part of the LSL Property Services plc group. We are recruiting for a Project Support Manager / PMO Manager for a 6-month contract.

 

 

Role Purpose: - 

 

We are looking for a highly organised and proactive Project Support Manager / PMO Manager to play a key role in supporting the successful delivery of business and technology projects across the organisation.

Working closely with Project Managers, Programme Managers, and key stakeholders, you will provide PMO governance, project coordination, reporting, planning, and administrative support to ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and to a high standard.

This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented professional who enjoys bringing structure, consistency, and visibility to complex project environments.

Key Responsibilities

Project Administration & Governance

  • Maintain project documentation, plans, RAID logs, action trackers, and governance packs.
  • Ensure project records, templates, and reporting are accurate and up to date.
  • Support project governance processes, standards, and compliance requirements.
  • Produce regular project and programme status reports for stakeholders.

Planning & Coordination

  • Schedule and coordinate project meetings, workshops, and governance forums.
  • Prepare agendas, capture actions, and track completion of key deliverables.
  • Monitor project timelines and milestones, highlighting risks and dependencies.
  • Support project managers in ensuring deadlines are achieved.

Reporting & Progress Monitoring

  • Track project performance against agreed plans and objectives.
  • Produce dashboards and management information reports.
  • Escalate potential issues, risks, and delays where appropriate.
  • Support portfolio reporting and project health reviews.

Resource & Delivery Support

  • Assist with resource planning and allocation activities.
  • Monitor project workload and utilisation across teams.
  • Support onboarding of project resources and suppliers.
  • Help coordinate activities across multiple workstreams.

Stakeholder Communication

  • Act as a central point of coordination between project teams and stakeholders.
  • Facilitate effective communication across projects and programmes.
  • Ensure key actions, decisions, and project updates are communicated promptly.

Skills & Experience

Essential

  • Previous experience within a PMO, Project Support, Project Coordinator, or Project Management Office environment.
  • Strong knowledge of project governance frameworks and reporting.
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Teams.
  • Experience using project management tools such as MS Project, Jira, Azure DevOps, Smartsheet, or similar.
  • Excellent organisational and prioritisation skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience supporting multiple projects simultaneously.

Desirable

  • PMO Certification, PRINCE2 Foundation/Practitioner, APM, or equivalent project management qualification.
  • Experience supporting technology, transformation, or business change projects.
  • Knowledge of portfolio reporting and project controls.
